ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – A Swedish company is planning an expansion that will bring 73 new jobs. The company, SKF, plans to build a 311 square foot plant to manufacture lubrication equipment.
SKF already has 380 St. Louis area workers who will be relocated to the new facility. The 73 new jobs will be added over a six year period that includes engineering, research and production line jobs. The average salary per employee will be near $62,000.
“It's a great impact for the economy. Obviously they're building a project that's going to have some 55 million in capital investment. They're well-paying jobs. They're continuing to invest and grow in St. Louis,” said Doug Rasmussen.
A bill introducing incentives will be introduced this week to the county council.
