ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Two women were injured when the vehicle they were riding in was shot at on Interstate 44 in downtown St. Louis early Monday morning.
That shooting happened around 2:40 a.m. near Washington Avenue on Interstate 44. The driver of the vehicle continued driving, but eventually came to a stop on Interstate 44 between Cass and Madison.
The two victims, both in their twenties, suffered gunshot wounds to their lower body and legs. They were rushed to local hospitals in critical, but stable, condition. One other person was in the car and was not struck.
The victims told police they did not see anything, but only heard the gunfire. There was no vehicle description given.
