ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Police have identified one victim in a double shooting in north St. Louis Friday night.
Police say 30-year-old Robert Torrence, of the 5000 block of Claxton, has died of his injuries.
The incident happened in the 5000 block of Claxton Avenue around 10:20 p.m. Police say the victims were standing on a sidewalk when a gray car pulled up and began firing shots.
Authorities say Torrence was shot in the head and a 24-year-old man was shot in the groin area. Both victims were taken to a hospital. The second victim is listed in stable condition.
Police say a witness reported seeing the gray car flee the scene south on Claxton.
The investigation is ongoing.
