As of July 1st, 2010, Superintendent Terry Noble will make $226,000.
Last month, the Mehlville Board of Education approved the raise 7-0. Currently, Superintendent Noble makes $181,000 a year.
Wednesday night, the board's president said they approved this raise to encourage Noble to stay with the district. Board President Tom Diehl says in Noble's three years as superintendent, he's helped the district improve in nearly every sector. Diehl says they offered Noble the large salary in an attempt to keep him from retiring.
Terry Noble's signed a three-year contract with the board.
