(KMOV) -- A high-speed chase that led police from north St. Louis County to the Metro-East has ended with no one hurt.
The chase began around 6:30 p.m. in Velda City, where police pulled over the driver of a Chrysler minivan for running a stop sign. Police pursued suspects from Velda City down eastbound I-70 and across the Poplar Street Bridge into Illinois. The suspects finally surrendered near Fairview Heights where they pulled onto the shoulder of eastbound I-64.
One man and two women were in the minivan that witnesses say was reportedly going approximately 120 miles per hour. The Velda City police chief says that he saw the van sideswipe a car near the Arch downtown. Illinois State Police say that the van hit three more vehicles in Illinois.
All of the accidents were minor.
