Kidnapped St. Charles women say they found help in Pine Lawn

Posted: Updated:

(KMOV) -- Two kidnapped St. Charles County sisters say they found help in Pine Lawn after kidnappers allegedly forced them to help burglarize a store.

The women say they were bound and held at gunpoint Monday night outside the Ashwood Apartments near Highway 94 in St. Charles County. The two women, 29 and 49 years of age, say they were taken into The Currency Exchange in St. Louis where one of the women worked.

The victims say they were forced to open the store as the kidnappers helped themselves to cash and lottery tickets, and then set the women free a few blocks away.

St. Louis police say they are looking for three suspects in the case, and a gray Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted windows and a temporary tag. Authorities are also looking into possible inconsistencies in the story.
