Flash grenades end eight hour standoff in Troy

(KMOV) -- An eight hour standoff in Troy, Illinois ended after police threw flash grenades into a home. This happened at a residence on Lone Robin Lane.

Police were called to the home to investigate a domestic disturbance involving a 67-year-old man and his wife. Authorities say that when police came into the house to question him, he came out of a bedroom with several knives.

Before and during the standoff, officers tased the suspect twice. He surrendered on his own and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
