I hope everyone had a great Easter. We certainly did! This was my 18-month-old son's first ever Easter egg hunt. We didn't do anything huge - just hid a couple dozen plastic eggs in the backyard. Jude had a blast with it!
We took him outside with his basket and he spotted his first egg. With his own personal paparazzi in tow, everyone watched, waiting for Jude to put the egg in the basket. He wouldn't. With the egg in his hand, he moved on to the next egg. All the cameras were ready, surely this one would go in the basket. It didn't. On to the third egg. Jude realized he didn't have anymore free hands, this one had to go in the basket. It did! The cameras flashed and Nana, Pop, Uncle Cam, Auntie Aubs, Great-Grandma & Grandad, and Mommy and Daddy cheered! Yea, Jude! His face lit up. It clicked. You could see the wheels in his brain turning..."if I put the eggs in the basket, everyone claps for me." So from then on, all the eggs went in the basket, with much applause. So much fun!
I don't have his egg hunting photos just yet, but I did include some photos of Jude in his Easter best. Enjoy!
How was your Easter? What do you and your kiddos do to celebrate? Do you dye eggs? Give them baskets of goodies? I'd love to hear from you. Post your stories in the comment section below or e-mail me: email@example.com
