The St. Louis Rams will officially have a new starting quarterback in 2010. On Monday afternoon what has been talked about for months has finally happened as the Rams announce formally that they have released quarterback Marc Bulger. The franchise's second all-time leading passer leaves behind a franchise that has seen some really good times and the worst of times during his tenure as starting quarterback.
Bulger missed half of the 2009 season due to injury and that sealed his fate with the Rams. Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo said that, "It is always hard to part ways with someone you care for and appreciate. I will always be indebted to him for his work ethic, character and leadership." Even with the writing on the wall for his career as a Ram, Bulger was always a professional about the situation and never aired his displeasure with what was happening.
