Illinois State Police searching for two suspects accused of trying to run over state trooper

(KMOV)-- The Illinois State Police are searching for two suspects accused of trying to run over a trooper Monday morning.

Authorities said around 7 a.m. in the truck parking area of the I-55 Funk's Grove Rest Area south of Bloomington, IL an Illinois State Trooper saw the steering column of a blue Ford F-150 had been tampered with. The driver attempted to run over the trooper with the truck. The driver lost police in the prevailing fog near the Funk's Grove area. The vehicle was last reported by a witness heading west into Tazewell County.

The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Cory Mathew Wolf. He is described as a white male, 5'5", and weighs 150 lbs. He has closely shaved brown hair, blue eyes, and many tattoos. He is also wanted in Mayes County, Oklahoma on warrants for Shooting with the Intent to Kill and 1st Degree Burglary. He is also wanted in Benton County, Arkansas on warrants for flight to avoid prosecution on Felony Residential Burglary charges.

Wolf may be with 24-year-old Brittany D. Thompson. She is described as a white female, 5'6", and weighs 120 lbs. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is wanted in Benton County, Arkansas on warrants for Obstructing Police/Hindering Apprehension.

Both suspects were last seen driving a Blue 1995 F-150 regular cab pickup truck with Oklahoma plates 582 ANK. The truck was reported stolen by the Tahlequah, Oklahoma Police Department.
