(KMOV) -- Police are investigating after a shooting at the Metrolink station located on Plymouth in Wellston.

According to authorities, three men were sitting in a Grey Chevrolet Impala, when two men approached and an argument started. Police call it an attempted robbery. Shots were fired in to the car and at least one man was hit. It's not clear how many shots were fired, but shell casings were found all the way out in the street.
The 19-year-old who was wounded ran to the Metro platform to hide behind one of the concrete posts.  When the first shot was fired, a Metro security guard came out, causing the shooter to flee.

The man's wounds are not considered life threatening. Police are waiting to question him, hoping he might shed some light on what led to the shooting.

No other injuries were reported.
