(KMOV)-- A Delta Airline made an emergency landing at Lambert Airport after reporting smoke in the cockpit.
Lambert spokesperson Jeff Lea said Delta 721 landed without incident around 5 p.m. Tuesday while en route from New York to San Francisco. The crew reported an odor of something burning in the cockpit and made the decision to divert to St. Louis. There was no gate open at the time, so the passengers got out on the tarmac but it was not an evacuation. The passengers are awaiting new Delta flight arrangements.
The Boeing 757 plane is being inspected. There were no reports of any injuries. There were 165 passengers on board.
