Overland officer charged with manslaughter

It is always difficult when police officers have to investigate one of their own.  That's what is happening in Overland and St. Louis County.

Officer Andrew Ringeisen is charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly pushing a man down a flight of stairs.  That man, Kenneth Hamilton, suffered massive head injuries and died days later.  Overland almost immediately turned the investigation over to St. Louis County for an impartial look., days before Hamilton's death.  Late yesterday, charges were filed.  What is unclear, is whether police on the scene immediately contacted EMS after Hamilton fell.  All Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch would say is that Hamilton did not get immediate care.  That's a big question.
