ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Democratic Congressman Russ Carnahan was in St. Louis Tuesday speaking to voters about the benefits of the health care reform.
It was held inside the Family Health Care Center where the congressman was surrounded by doctors and medical professionals as well as Shannon McGinn who has two daughters, one who has a job without health care and another with a pre existing medical condition.
There was also a St. Louis woman who said she's the victim of the so called medicare prescription plan donut hole that has skyrocketed her medication costs.
People that Carnahan says now are better off with the new law.
There were no protests. Just one person who described himself as a citizen journalist who was not allowed inside.
Carnahan is up for re-election and his republican opponent, Ed Martin still repeated his call to repeal the health care act saying it's too expensive and too many people are still fed up with it. Both men expect this to be an issue right up to election day.
