Wainwright reflects on start against the Nationals

VIERA, Fla. (KMOV) - Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright, making his fourth start of the spring Friday,  had an up-and-down day on the mound against the Washington Nationals.

The right-hander gave up four earned runs on eight hits in six innings pitched, including a Pudge Rodriguez two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth inning. There were some positives to be had in Wainwright’s outing, though,  as he blanked the Nationals in the third, fourth, and fifth innings.

After the game, Wainwright talked to the media about his performance. Watch the video above to hear what he had to say.
