(BaseballStL) -- With St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday out of the Game 7 lineup with a sprained wrist, Allen Craig continued to make the most of the opportunity like he has all postseason.
Craig hit a go-ahead solo home run in the third inning to give the Cardinals the lead over the Texas Rangers 3-2.
It was Craig’s third home run in the World Series and fourth of the postseason and fifth RBI in the World Series.
Craig also robbed Nelson Cruz of a possible home run in the top of the 6th.
Craig was 1-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in Game 7.
