(BaseballStL) -- St. Louis Cardinals third baseman David Freese set the single postseason RBI record after hitting a two-run RBI double in the first inning of Game 7.
Freese tied the RBI record (19) with a walk-off home run in the 11th inning of Game 6 on Thursday.
In Game 7, Freese hit a two-run RBI double in the bottom of the first inning in Game 7 on Friday. His 20th and 21st RBIs now set the RBI record in a single postseason.
Freese’s 19 RBIs had tied him with David Ortiz, Scott Spiezio and Sandy Alomar, Jr., but now stands alone at the top.
