(BaseballStL) -- Some starters cannot become relievers and some relievers cannot starters. But Texas Rangers pitcher Derek Holland proved he can dominate as a starter and as a reliever during the World Series.
Holland pitched 8.1 innings and allowed only two hits against the Cardinals in Game 4.
Holland also entered Game 6 in relief and allowed two hits (solo home run to Allen Craig, single to Yadier Molina) in 2 innings pitched from the bullpen to maintain the Rangers lead.
Holland had a 0.87 ERA and allowed four hits in 10.1 innings pitched in the World Series.
