Fenton, MO (KMOV) -- Homeowners in a Fenton neighborhood are uneasy today after a pair of burglaries that happened during the day Wednesday.
The Bent Tree Trails subdivision is usually a quiet neighborhood that rarely sees any crime but two homes were broken into sometime between 11a.m. and 2 p.m.
St. Louis County police don’t have any suspects but are canvassing the neighborhood today to see if anyone saw something suspicious.
One resident says someone knocked on the door of a home and asked for someone, using a name that doesn’t match anyone who lives in the neighborhood. It’s a common tactic of burglars who like to strike in the middle of the day is to knock on the doors of homes to see which ones are empty.
