(KMOV.com) -- Charges have been filed against two St. Louis men after police said they were involved in a home invasion in Sunset Hills that led to a shooting on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued warrants for Joshua Hammett, 35, and Todd McCubbins, 36, both from St. Louis. Each suspect has been charged with one count of First Degree Robbery, First Degree Burglary, Felonious Restraint, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Property Damage and Armed Criminal Action .
Police allege Hammet and McCubbins entered the home of a Sunset Hills, Missouri couple and attempted to rob them. A Sunset Hills officer responded to the scene after someone called police. The officer was able to take Hammet into custody after they exchanged gunfire. Hammet suffered a gunshot wound in the exchange and had to be taken to a nearby hospital for surgery. He is exptected to survive. McCubbins was later apprehended after neighbors saw him run from the rear of the home.
Hammett and McCubbins are currently being held on a $250,000, cash only bond.
