(KMOV.com) -- The St. Louis Health Department will hold a town hall meeting on Thursday to discuss the record high AIDS rate in the city of St. Louis.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Union Avenue Church at 733 Union Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri.
St. Louis health officials decided to hold a meeting concerning the disease since new and current AIDS and HIV cases in St. Louis are at record highs.
Officials said the meeting is mainly being held to address and give solutions on how to combat AIDS and HIV, but it will also show other major cities that St. Louis is doing their part in raising awareness, testing, prevention, treatments and care.
