(KMOV) -- A building in South St. Louis City is damaged after a one-car accident took place early Thursday morning.
The accident took place at the intersection of Jefferson and Lafayette just after 3:30 a.m.
According to police, a driver crashed into a pole situated near the building, the pole then hit the nearby building; the impact created a hole in the building structure.
Police say the driver sped away from the scene moments after the accident.
Authorities have not said if the building was occupied at the time of this accident.
No one has been reported injured at this time.
