(BaseballStL) -- St. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak told 590 The Fan that he will be meeting with MLB officials at 1 p.m. local time about postponing Game 6 against the Texas Rangers.

Mozeliak told the radio station that it does not make sense to possibly stop-and-play multiple times during the game.

Rangers manager Ron Washington is reportedly in favor of an early decision on whether the game will be played tonight or not.

Game 6 is likely to be played with scattered showers and 10-15 mph wind.  The temperature is supposed to be in the low-50s to upper-40s.
