ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – St. Louis Aldermen are using a court subpoena in their efforts to investigate repeated jail escapes.

On Monday, the Public Safety Committee questioned Operations Director Sam Dotson for three hours.

The subpoena requires the mayor’s office to turn over all records related to the operation of the corrections department.

On Tuesday, the committee will hear from suspended Corrections Director Eugene Stubblefield for the first time.

No decision has been made on Stubblefield’s future.

He will have a civil service hearing on his suspension later this month.
