O'Fallon, Missouri police put out warning about address painting flier

(KMOV) -- Police are warning homeowners about a scam showing up in neighborhoods.

In O'Fallon, Missouri, fliers are being circulated asking for money to paint your home address on your curb. The problem is that the flier suggests that police, fire and EMS require or encourage the service. O'Fallon told News 4 -- that's not true. In fact, emergency responders typically look for addresses on houses or mailboxes -- not the curb.
