BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A federal judge has sentenced an Illinois man to 10 years in prison for trying to lure an Idaho teen to travel across the country to have a sexual relationship.
A federal judge in Boise on Wednesday also ordered 36-year-old Michael Lee Stewart to 25 years of supervised release for attempting to entice the teen last year.
Stewart, of Mahomet, Ill., pleaded guilty in June, three months after he was arrested at the Indianapolis airport, where he had arranged to meet the 15-year-old Boise girl.
Prosecutors say they were alerted about the inappropriate relationship by the girl's parents.
Investigators posed as the girl online, and tracked as Stewart bought the girl a plane ticket. A search of a hotel near the airport yielded wine, condoms, lingerie and a camera.
