ST. LOUIS (KMOV)- A St. Louis grandmother was charged Tuesday with endangering the welfare of a child after leaving her grandchildren alone in her car when she went to buy drugs.
Wanakee Robinson, 55, is accused of leaving her 2-year-old twin grandchildren alone in her car when she went to purchase drugs. Officials say when the children were left alone, they were able to get out of the car.
Police say Robinson left the area without the grandchildren. A passerby discovered the children wandering alone on 4700 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard and called police.
No one reported the children missing for more than four hours.
