(BaseballStL) -- With Halloween right around the corner, nothing could be scarier than facing Texas Rangers right fielder Nelson Cruz.

After a dismal ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays, Cruz hit .364 and smashed six home runs and 13 RBIs against the Detroit Tigers on his way to being named ALCS MVP.

In the six ALCS games, the 6’2” 240 pound Ranger pummeled four home runs in the 7th inning or later.  Two of the home runs were in the 11th inning of Game 2 and Game 4.

His Game 2 11th inning home run was a walk-off grand slam and his second of the game.

Cruz, a great fastball hitter, has excellent numbers against St. Louis relievers Octavio Dotel and Marc Rzepczynksi, but the bigger concern is against starter Edwin Jackson.

Cruz is 5-for-12 against the fastball-throwing Jackson in his career.

Cruz hit .263 with 29 home runs and 87 RBIs in 124 regular season games this year.
