(KMOV) -- A motorcycle safety group is demanding that the Missouri Department of Transportation fix what it says is a dangerous stretch of Highway 94 in St. Charles County.
The Freedom of Road Riders say a pothole south of Defiance has caused multiple accidents.
Jean Pressley is recovering from surgery at Mercy Hospital St. Louis to repair injuries received over the weekend in a motorcycle accident on Highway 94. Her fiancé was stunned to find out another patient on that same floor had been there since his motorcycle accident in that same spot on October 9.
The Freedom of Road Riders posted pictures on Facebook of Pressley’s crumpled bike and the pothole the bike hit before the crash, along with complaints about what it said was MoDOT’s less than encouraging reaction.
The motorcycle group says it hopes repairs on the road are made before the weekend when there is a lot more traffic on Highway 94, which could mean the potential for more accidents.
