(KMOV) -- A Richmond Heights woman was charged with assault after she attempted to slice a Richmond Heights police officer with a broken piece of glass.
It was reported officers were called to the residence of Nicole Sutton, 34, after being notified of a disturbance behind her apartment building.
Upon the officers' arrival, they located Sutton covered in blood. Officers attempted to calm her down and get her outside the building, but Sutton refused to cooperate.
According to police reports, Sutton grabbed a piece of broken glass from a rear window and made stabbing and slashing motions toward the officers.
After several attempts to use Tasers to subdue Sutton, police arrested her and she was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Sutton is charged with one count of assault on a law enforcement officer in the second degree.
