(KMOV) -- Authorities arrested two suspects involved in an alleged attempt to sell stolen hockey equipment at “Play it Again Sports” in Kirkwood.

It was reported that Trevor Huffmon, 35, and Ashley Kolander, 23, had stolen hockey equipment from a woman in Kirkwood valued at more than $1800.00. After the theft, the woman emailed a list of the stolen items to employees at “Play it Again Sports.”

As Huffmon and Kolander attempted to sell the stolen equipment at "Play it Again Sports", employees noticed the items brought in for sale corresponded with the list of stolen items the victim had sent.

As police arrived on the scene, three people got into a car and drove off, leaving the equipment behind. The victim then confirmed the stolen equipment was the missing items from her home.

Kirkwood police arrested the suspects shortly after. When interviewed by Kirkwood authorities, Huffmon and Kolander claimed they did not know the items were stolen , but after further interviews by Creve Coeur police, both suspects admitted they knew the equipment was stolen at the time they brought it to “Play it Again Sports.”

Huffmon and Kolander are boh charged with one count of receiving stolen property.
