(KMOV.com) -- Over the last week, several homes in Hazelwood have been broken into and neighbors are on edge.
Hazelwood Police said they have three active home burglary investigations just this week.
Jill Jones and her family have lived on Manning Avenue in Hazelwood for 42 years. Wednesday night, Jones’ neighbors were the victim of a home break-in. Police said the back door of the home was kicked in and electronics were stolen.
“I have a great concern for the safety, not only for our house, but for houses all around here,” Jones said, “First of all, I’m praying more. But we keep our doors locked and whenever we come home at night, I always make sure to look around.”
Earlier this week, authorities said a storage shed on Villa-Cecilia Lane was broken into and metal piping stolen. And on Dunn Road a home was burglarized. Police say no one has been hurt in any of these incidents.
Residents said they’ve noticed more of a police presence lately.
So far police don’t have any suspects in these home burglary cases.
