(KMOV.com) – Two men have been charged with robbing a woman at gunpoint outside a Highland bank on Feb. 14.
Alexander Gerth, 18, and Ramsey Fakhouri, 22, were indicted Friday on federal bank robbery charges.
Authorities say the suspects robbed an employee attending to an ATM outside the Bradford Bank in the 1100 block of Woodcrest around.
Police say she was holding money when one of the suspects walked up behind her, put a gun to her head and took the money.
That suspect took an undermined of cash enclosed in an ATM box and fled east on foot.
Authorities searched for the suspects using a police plane and K-9 units. Several other agencies, including Illinois State Police and the FBI, assisted in the search.
Both of the suspects, who are from Michigan, were later located and arrested.
If found guilty, they could spend up to 20 years in federal prison and be fined $250,000.
