(KMOV.com) – An Arnold man faces charges after he allegedly assaulted his wife setting the couple's house on fire on Sunday.
Jason Dubois, 31, was charged Tuesday with second-degree arson and third-degree domestic assault.
According to police, Dubois was at his home in the 3300 block of Boca Raton around 3 p.m. when he pinned his wife against the wall with his arm against her throat. Police say he then threw her to the ground and lay on top of her so she couldn’t leave.
Authorities say Dubois eventually let her go and she took one of her children to her mother’s.
Police say his wife later returned and found Dubois barricaded inside the home. She smelled gasoline and left.
Firefighters responded to the house and found Dubois standing outside. Authorities initially said they believed he poured gasoline inside the house and then set it on fire.
