(KMOV) – A semi truck slammed into a home in Cahokia Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the driver of the truck was traveling in the area of Rte. 3 and E. 5th St. around 8:15 a.m. when he lost control and crashed into the house.

The truck also crashed into utility poles, leaving about 1,300 people in the area without power. Ameren Illinois officials say they hoped to have the power restored by Wednesday evening.

No injuries were reported.

The extent of the damage to the house was not immediately known.
