(KMOV.com) – Police are searching for a suspect after a Saturday night shooting left one man dead in south St. Louis.
Police say that they received a call just before 9:30 about a shooting in the 2800 block of Sidney Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim, Rufai Mohamad of the 3700 block of Coloniel, with bullet wounds to the torso, neck and face. The victim was laying on the front stairs of the residence.
Reports indicate that the 22-year-old victim was sitting on the porch when a subject wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt approached. The suspect opened fire on the victim before fleeing from the scene on foot.
Mohamad was pronounced dead at the scene.
