1 Woman dead, another hurt after crash in north St. Louis

(KMOV.com) -- St. Louis Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash in north St. Louis along a street known for vehicle races.

Witnesses told police that a Dodge Caravan was turning onto Hall Street from Riverview at a high rate of speed, then veered from the southbound lane to the northbound lane and collided head on with a truck.

Authorities reported the driver of the van, 34-year-old female Keyna Allen, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police said the male driver of the second vehicle was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. His condition is unknown.

The details surrounding how the accident happened are under investigation.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. Saturday morning in the 9000 block of Hall Street.
