(KMOV.com) Southern Illinois University's School of Dental Medicine is giving qualified children a chance to receive free dental care on Monday.
Give Kids a Smile Day is an annual event taking place on Monday from 7:30 a.m. to noon in the School's main clinic building 263. The building is located at 2800 College Ave. in Alton, Ill.
The free dental care will include examinations, X-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, fillings and extractions. The event will also have fun, educational activities and games for children to participate in.
Pre-registration is not required, but is preferred.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Give Kids a Smile day is a national event sponsored by the American Dental Association. In Alton, the event allows, on average, more than 200 children to receive free dental care.
