(HockeyStL) -- For years St. Louis Blues fans were witnesses to Al MacInnis’ blistering slap shots that seemingly always left a trail of pain behind them.  But will the Blues ever see the likes of another Al MacInnis-type slap shot?

Well, David Perron is eager to find that out with pro golfer John Daly.  Below is part of the two stars’ Twitter conversation:

Perron tweeted: “I wonder if @PGA_JohnDaly could should the puck as hard as he drives the ball... Let's bring him to practice what do u say @CoreyHirsch ?”

Daly confidently tweets: “@aholeameo @DP_57 @coreyhirsch on ice? this man's got it guys! ha”

Perron tweeted: “Alright if you can shoot it like you drive @PGA_JohnDaly we will dress u against Nashville for our next game haha ...will set u up all night”

Daly followed up with: “@DP_57 stay positive & kick some A....go Blues!”

...only time will tell.
