(KMOV) – A suspect taken into custody in connection with the suspicious death of a 42-year-old Lincoln County, Missouri mother has been released pending further investigation, officials said on Thursday.

According to officials, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Sumac Drive in Troy, Missouri on Tuesday after reports of a deceased female.  When officers arrived, they determined the woman's death was suspicious.

The victim was later identified as Elizabeth Faria. Faria owned a deejaying company, had recently beaten breast cancer and was a mother of two.
Detectives seized evidence from her home including carpeting, computers and several bags.
According to reports, there were no signs of forced entry into her home and her death is being ruled a homicide.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate Faria died from multiple stab injuries with no evidence of sexual assault.  The final autopsy report is pending further analysis of evidence and toxicology.

Officials said this is an ongoing investigation, and more information will follow as it develops.
