(KMOV.com) -- Raja, the first Asian elephant born at the St. Louis Zoo, celebrated his 19th birthday on Tuesday by opening up a few over-sized presents.

Visitors were invited to sing "Happy Birthday" and cheer for Raja Tuesday morning as zookeepers and volunteers gave him a number of special presents.  Raja's giant presents were filled with some of his favorite things including cereal, melons, bananas, popcorn and more.

After the celebration, visitors were encouraged to sign Raja's super-sized birthday card and learn more about the elephants with keeper chats, activities and biofacts at the zoo's Lakeside Cafe.
