(KMOV)—Four people were robbed at gunpoint and kidnapped leaving one person shot early Monday morning near the St. Louis Arch.
According to police, two males, and two females were held at gunpoint by two male suspects when they were getting out of their car on the 200 block of Leonor K. Sullivan at 2:30 a.m.
The suspects allegedly demanded the victims get into the backseat of their vehicle. The victims, two 31-year-old males, a 25-year-old female and a 23-year-old female complied and were then driven, by the suspects to the 1200 block of South Wharf Street where the suspects forced the victims to get out of the car, robbing each victim, one-by-one.
The victims were robbed of their money, cell phones, passports, clothing, shoes, and credit cards.
According to the victims, the suspects got agitated as the last victim was getting out of the car, they thought the 31-year-old victim was not giving up all his belongings to the suspects. The victim was then shot twice in the leg by one of the suspects.
The suspects have been described as two black males, both around 5’9 in height and wearing dark clothing. They each have a thin build with one having a darker complexion than the other. One suspect was wearing a skull cap.
The suspects stole the second victim’s car, 2008 Silver, 4-door Lincoln MKS with Minnesota Plates. Police are searching for this car along with the two suspects.
The victim, who was shot, was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Detectives say the victims have been uncooperative with the investigation. Police believe this could be a drug-related incident.
The victims’ identities have not been released.
