(KMOV) – Police are searching for a woman, who poses as a housekeeper, in connection to items that were recently stolen from a Town and Country house.
Police say the victim discovered Tammy Lynn Lanham, under the name of a housekeeping business, on Craigslist. The victim told police that Lanham appeared to be a legitimate housekeeper when she arrived to her house with a vacuum and other cleaning supplies, but then stole jewelry and prescription medicine once the victim fell asleep.
Police also believe Lanham, 30, targeted a house in Eureka using the same scam earlier this year.
The Better Business Bureau urges people to do their homework when it comes to hiring someone through sites such as Craigslist.
Police are searching for Lanham’s vehicle which is a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck with Missouri license 4CL-528.
