COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Columbia police say the suspicious death of a man found by a jogger near a hiking trail is being investigated as a homicide.
The body was discovered around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the dead end of a street near the MKT Trail, which connects to Missouri's Katy Trail. Police later identified the victim as 43-year-old Timothy Ray.
Investigators say Ray suffered lacerations to his upper body. The cause of death hasn't been determined, but police say they've classified the death as a homicide.
Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down information about Ray or any suspicious activity in the area.
