Police looking for suspect who robbed downtown St. Louis bank

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- St. Louis Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a bank in downtown St. Louis Monday morning.

Authorities said the suspect walked into the First Bank at 710 Olive Street around 9:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money.  According to reports, the suspect said he had a weapon, but never showed one.  The suspect fled the scene and was last seen running southbound on 8th Street.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his 40s or 50s standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was reportedly wearing glasses, a dark Cardinals baseball cap, tan or grey shoes, blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with fur around the hood. He had short hair and a short, messy beard.
