(KMOV.com) -- The FBI honored a St. Louis school with a national award for online safety on Tuesday.
The FBI recognized St. Ambrose Catholic School on the Hill as the January winner of the Online Surfing Internet Challenge.
St. Ambrose students studied online safety and took a test to compete for the national award.
“They know they’re not supposed to give any personal information; they shouldn’t share their passwords,” said St. Ambrose Technology Coordinator Debbie Hilderbarnd, “So we teach them all the safety things with the ethics behind it”
St. Ambrose is the first school in the FBI’s St. Louis division to win the award.
