ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A suspect in a road rage incident is on the loose after an 18-year-old woman reported she was almost run off the road, and even shot, for changing lanes.

A group of teens were driving south on Taylor near Lewis Place Saturday night when the driver tried to pull around the vehicle in front of her, which was not moving.

Police say the teen immediately became a target when she attempted to go around the vehicle. The stopped vehicle then sped up and allegedly attempted to run the teens off the road.

A passenger in the suspect's vehicle began firing gunshots at the victims and the teen driver was hit in the bottom lip by a bullet and taken to the hospital in stable condition. None of the other passengers reported injuries.

The suspects' vehicle was described as either a Nissan Altima or a Honda Accord, but no color was provided.

The investigation is ongoing.
