ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Many of the issues raised in the aftermath of the Ferguson shooting were discussed at the annual Martin Luther King Day celebration in downtown St. Louis.
Participants marched along Market Street Monday morning and chanted many of the slogans that have used in many demonstrations since the shooting of Michael Brown such as “Hands Up Don’t Shoot.” Demonstrators are also carried signs that read “Black Lives Matter.”
The march was held after the 47th Annual MLK Day observance at the Old Courthouse. After the ceremony and march, an interfaith service was held at Harris Stowe State University.
