ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Residents and workers of downtown St. Louis are trying to make sense of what happened in St. Louis Wednesday night; six people were murdered in five separate incidents.

“It’s kind of usual to have murders in such in St. Louis, unfortunately I think it’s gotten way out of control. I don’t know what else police can do about it that they are not already doing.” Said Chris Kissel.

Police are not giving up hope. They are working around the clock to quickly solve the cases. They began by pulling together all of their resources early Thursday morning.

“This morning the command staff gathered at 5:00 a.m. Commander of the homicide division, Deputy Chief, and Assistant Chief got together and talked about individuals that we need to go and find,” said Chief Sam Dotson.

Investigators admit they are familiar with some of the suspects. They are also following all leads to catch the criminals.
