ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Police responded to a South City store after the front door was smashed in early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to the Speedway Market in the 4700 block of South Spring just before 5:00 a.m. after the store’s burglar alarm was activated.

A witness told News 4 a vehicle was seen speeding away from the store after the door was smashed.

Police say cigarettes were taken from the store.
